Waking Up 👁 and a Second Language
Starting in 2024, all articles will be written bilingually. I am learning Spanish, so please bear with me as this is a labor of love and learning. I explain below.
After a long hiatus, I am bringing my blog back to life with some new articles, which will be coming in the following weeks and months. After a rather productive series of articles, I had written out my philosophies and ideas, and took on a series of positions, serially, with different companies, and became rather profoundly busy. Once you get out of the habit of writing, the ideas for articles start to dry up.
Recently, I have had more time and have been learning a lot of new things. And I have learned much from the work I’ve done over the past few years, which have had a significant impact on how I design and view technology, and builds on what I knew before. And at least the first few new articles will focus on AI.
There will also be a new addition- I will start writing my posts in Spanish as well as English. However, I will not use a standard translation plug-in, which is the easiest and probably most friendly way to do it. I have been learning Spanish for the past two years, and went to Nicaragua in June for 10 days to immerse myself at a Spanish School. Except for some calls home in the evening, I restricted myself to only Spanish during the trip, in which I began to dream and originate thoughts in Spanish. While that part only lasted while I was there, I came away with the desire to clinch fluidity in another language.
It is still a work in progress. I will use Google Translate- some, to help build my vocabulary and double check some constructs, but my intention is to write >90% without Translate. There will be mistakes, so for those of you who read Spanish, please bear with me. At my last company, Sweatworks, I had the joy of working with a significant Latin American staff, who were happy to accommodate me in Spanish once I gained the courage to start using it.

Después de hiato largo, estoy dando vida a mi blog otra vez con nuevos artículos, cuando voy a escribir en las semanas y meses que siguientes. Después de series bastante productivo de artículos, había escribido sobre mis filosofías y ideas, y empecía unas posiciones seriales, con varias empresas, y convertí muy ocupado profundamente. Cuando el habito de escribiendo se deja, los ideas se van.
Recientemente, he tenido un poco tiempo para escribir y he estado aprendiendo sobre cosas nuevas. Y he aprendido mucho del trabajo he hecho durante esos años, cual he hecho impacto significado a como deseño y vio tecnología, y construye encima de que sabia antes.
Habrá una nueva incorporación- empezaré escribiendo mis artículos en dos idiomas- inglés y español. Sin embargo, no usaré un plug-in simple, cual sería el método más fácil hacerlo. He estado aprendiendo español hace dos años, y viajé a Nicaragua en junio durante diez días para sumergirme en una escuela de español. A exception de algunas llamadas a casa en las tardes, me limité a solo español. Durante el viaje, empecé a soñar y pensar en español. Aunque fue temporal, regresé con ganas de afianzar la fluidez en otro idioma.
Todavía es un trabajo en progreso. Usaré Google Translate un poco, pero solo añadir a mi vocabulario y comprobar el estructura de unos segmentos de frases. A mi intención es escribir >90% sin Translate. Habrá errores, así para los leen en español, tengo paciencia conmigo, por favor. En mi empresa ultima, Sweatworks, tuve la alegría de trabajar con muchos compañeros de trabajo América Latina, quién estaban felices de acomodarme en español cuando gané confianza hablarlo.
