Hammers Before Heroes
For my Project 52 the past week, I spent it on testing, rather than creating. I have had fun doing it (I’m not finished yet).
Ideations about Architecture, AI, IoT, Wearables, Technology, Running, Fitness, and other topics
As an Architect, I focus on the full picture, end to end. I design systems from scratch, adding abstraction layers to isolate hosting platform and third party services, to allow future flexibility when circumstances change. Systems are designed to be “future compatible” to the best degree possible. This includes understanding what the ultimate product could be, including what is not yet possible, to make allowances for future features and capabilities to be more easily added. The use of contextual information helps deliver more personalized and adaptive experiences.
I have worked in the fitness space for many years, making use of wearables and sensors for personalization of workouts and health guidance. I have deep connections in that industry and have frequently spoken at events.
Other areas of interest are IOT, Music tech, and technology in general.
This includes using sensors and computational elements distributed across many devices in businesses, homes, cities and open spaces to create volumetric user experiences; and distributed music concepts using decentralized tenets of Web3.
Beyond these core interest areas, I am well-versed in most areas of technology and interested in most applications of technology, especially in areas of innovation.
My background in Business Development is important to understanding the future direction of a company, and projecting current technologies forward and planning for the future. Having an understanding of where business is evolving to is important to designing an architecture for the future and guiding a company’s tech vision forward.
